Biblical Formation for Ecuadorian Church Leaders.

In Ecuador, 83% of evangelical pastors and leaders have little to zero biblical training. Sendero exists to change that.

the path | el camino de formación

Biblical formation for gospel-centered leadership.

THE Sendero Purpose

Our community is made up of men and women shepherding real congregations, presiding over marriages, burying the dead, answering the hardest questions people ever ask about God, without anyone ever teaching them how to handle the Word faithfully.

When that foundation is missing, the damage doesn't stay in the pulpit. It reaches families. It shapes what entire communities come to believe about grace.

This is theological famine. Sendero exists to end it.

The SenDero Path

Mile 1: A pastor walks the path. Formed in Scripture, character, and the full shape of faithful leadership.

Mile 2: A church is strengthened. Truth taught faithfully roots congregations in the Gospel.

Mile 3: Families are discipled. What a pastor carries into his church, his congregation carries home.

Mile 4: Communities are transformed. Generational change that outlasts any program.

Mile 5: A nation is changed. The path is now walked by those who were once walked alongside.

Three times a year, pastors gather for a week-long intensive in the Andes Mountains. They are fed from a garden grown on-site. They have a place to sleep. Someone listens to them.

For one week, nothing is required of them but to receive.

Whole-person formation in Scripture, in character, in marriage, in the full shape of faithful pastoral leadership. Not a credential. A path.

How we gather

“Here, we received so much more than knowledge.”

Pastor Fernando and Ely Fonseca came to Sendero with five years of seminary behind them. Afterward, they said simply: 'Here, you receive so much more than knowledge.'

Today they pastor a church in Ambato and Fernando serves as a municipal judge. Now they lead the training themselves — walking alongside other pastors the way they were once walked alongside.

That is the whole vision made visible.

Invest in the people who teach the Gospel.

This is not a bet on a program. It is an investment in the people forming pastors who form other pastors until the center of the story belongs to Ecuador.
